I was born in Greenock
I graduated from Glasgow School of Art in 1982 (B.A. Hons. Fine Art) and later undertook Post Graduate training in Art Therapy at Hertfordshire College of Art.
I have worked across Scotland in the areas of domestic and sexual abuse as an Art Therapist, counsellor, consultant, trainer, development officer, manager and political campaigner. Over this period I also initiated and co ordinated a number of community art projects for schools, Social Work Services and throughout the voluntary sector.
Now I am a full time artist with work in public and private collections at home and abroad.
I am a member of Perthshire Visual Arts Forum and member of Society of Scottish Artists.
